Neatworkz

Neatworkz is a suite of software “plug-ins” for the CAD program Vectorworks™  that extend its capabilities, to assist and simplify the design and documentation of systems and networks.

The workflow of systems design has several phases:

Concept        establishment of basic structure & function
Schematic     detailed drawings of equipment interconnection
Physical         layout drawings of rooms, equipment racks and furniture.
Listing          compilation of equipment lists, cable lists etc.
Labelling       labeling of patch panels etc.
Correction    delivery of accurate “as-built” system documentation

Neatworkz provides a rich set of tools and functions, that automate these processes while placing the absolute minimum restriction on the designer’s freedom of choice. Drawings can begin life as vague ideas and shape up as information becomes available - the way real projects work.

Neatworkz is an open system based on the principle of making drawings both human and machine-readable. Nothing is hidden. All the data is stored in the drawing and can be inspected and modified using standard Vectorworks commands, and the look and feel of drawing can be freely configured by the user.
